The Star Parivaar Awards 2012 had celebrities from several shows on Star Plus attending the event in grand style. All of them came dressed as their characters as these awards, unlike others, honours the characters and not the actors. You would think then Sthat it would honour the writers who came up with these characters, but no. Hina Khan collected her Favourite Beti Award while Barun Sobti walked up to the stage to collect his Naya Sadasya Male Award.
